JEE Main Rank Predictor 2026

Marks → percentile → All India Rank, interpolated from published NTA 2023–2024 data — not a synthetic curve. Category-aware, with official JEE Advanced cutoff context and an honest confidence band.

Used only to prefill the college predictor.

All calculations run in your browser — nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

How this is computed

  1. 1Your marks are interpolated against published NTA marks-to-percentile tables for 2023 and 2024 (piecewise-linear between real anchors — no synthetic curve).
  2. 2The percentile maps to an All India Rank against each year's candidate pool (11.1 L appeared in 2023, 14.2 L registered in 2024, 14.8 L in 2025); the band spans all three.
  3. 3For reserved categories we estimate a category rank from NTA 2024 registration shares — disclosed as an estimate, with a deliberately wide band.
  4. 4Your percentile is compared with the official NTA JEE Advanced qualifying cutoffs per category for 2023–2025.
Why a band, not a number

The band widens where anchors are sparse and where the years disagree. The center always sits on the latest verified year. Inputs beyond the highest published anchor clamp to it and the page says so — we never silently extrapolate.

Known gap: a verifiable 2025 marks-to-percentile table was never published — coaching sites recycle the 2023 series under "2025 expected" labels, so we deliberately exclude it and widen the band instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this rank predictor different from a generic one?

It interpolates between real published anchors instead of assuming a bell curve: NTA 2023 and 2024 marks-vs-percentile tables (via BYJU'S and Careers360 scorecard analyses), official candidate pools (11.1 lakh in 2023 to 14.8 lakh in 2025) and the official NTA JEE Advanced qualifying cutoffs per category. Every source is listed in the methodology section.

Why is there no 2025 marks-vs-percentile table in the model?

Because we could not verify one. Coaching sites republish the 2023 table under '2025 expected' labels — the decimal values match row for row. Rather than pretend, the model anchors on 2023 and 2024 actuals, uses the 2025 pool size for rank, and widens the band to cover the year-to-year drift.

Which marks should I enter — Session 1 or Session 2?

The better of your two sessions. NTA uses your higher percentile for ranking. Before the exam, use your latest full-length mock score.

What does the category rank mean?

An estimate of your position within your category's list, derived from NTA 2024 registration shares (e.g. OBC-NCL was about 34% of Paper 1 registrations). It assumes categories spread roughly proportionally across ranks, which is why the band is wide. General category has no separate list — the CRL is the rank.

Will I qualify for JEE Advanced?

The tool compares your estimated percentile with the official NTA qualifying cutoffs for your category from the last three years (General: 90.78 in 2023, 93.24 in 2024, 93.10 in 2025). Clearing the cutoff makes you eligible to register for JEE Advanced; it is not an IIT seat by itself.

Is my data stored?

No. Every calculation runs in your browser. Your marks are never sent to our servers, and there is no login.
