That creates two strategic realities: broad coverage pays off, and a few “anchor” chapters still dominate enough to prioritise first. How is Chemistry weightage different from Physics and Maths?

Chemistry is the most evenly distributed across chapters — no chapter dominates at 8%+. The top chapter (GOC & Isomerism) is ~6%. This means Chemistry rewards broad coverage more than Physics or Maths. Skipping chapters costs more in Chemistry than in the other two subjects.

Should I focus on Physical, Organic or Inorganic first?

Inorganic first. It's recall-heavy, directly NCERT-derived and returns the fastest score gains — PYQs alone can move your Inorganic score by 15 marks in 3 weeks. Physical second (formula fluency), Organic last (mechanism depth requires time).

Is NCERT enough for JEE Main Chemistry?
